Tim Schumer

Founder - Principal Consultant - Master Trainer

With over 23 years of experience, Tim is a dedicated and passionate professional excited about training managers, developing HR functions, and boosting teams through on-sight activities. His military and corporate career have taken him to both the local and global stage in developing people, processes, and systems.

My professional career began in March 2001 when I joined the Army to find a little direction and purpose for myself. During my time in the Army, I learned valuable technical skills, leadership skills, and gained confidence in being able to accomplish my goals. In 2007, I was medically discharged from the military. During my transition out of the military, I learned about the human resources field at a career fair for vets re-entering the civilian world. With everything I had done in my military career including training and managing people, I felt this would be a good fit for me. In November of 2007, I landed my first job in HR as a payroll coordinator.

For the next six years, I worked full-time, while attending night classes four days a week. In 2013 I completed my undergraduate degree in Business Management from McKendree University and at the end of 2014, I earned my

Master’s in Human Resources Development from Webster University. During my career I worked in various positions to include payroll processing, benefits administration, HR Administration, company acquisition onboarding, building out HR functions, Global HR leadership, creating and instructing management training courses, and leading activities for team building retreats.

After a rewarding and well-rounded career, I wanted to take it to the Next Level and in 2023 I decided to take the leap on my own and build a company that would help businesses develop their HR function, train first-line mangers, and present activities for stronger team dynamics and cohesion. Today my purpose and direction is realized in Next Level Human Capital.
